Siemens 287-05994: 6" Normally Closed Fire Life Safety DamperThe Siemens 287-05994 is a 6-inch normally closed fire life safety damper. It is designed to prevent the spread of fire and smoke through HVAC ducts in the event of a fire. The damper is constructed of galvanized steel and features a fusible link that melts at 165ÂºF (74ÂºC), causing the damper to close automatically. The damper is also equipped with a manual override lever for closing the damper in the event of a power failure.The Siemens 287-05994 is ideal for use in commercial and industrial applications, such as hospitals, schools, and office buildings.
