More About Duct Sensors
You need controls capable of detecting temperature changes in your building's ductwork and sturdy enough to withstand demanding environmental conditions.
To help you, we supply a broad range of air duct sensors covering all standard measurement values; temperature, humidity, dew point, CO₂, VOC's, pressure, and low-temperature limit detection.
Naturally, we only stock sensors and accessories from quality manufacturers Belimo and BAPI. Their sensors vary in probe length from 4" to 18" inches, with C02 outputs from 5-10V.
Both Bacnet® and Modus communication protocols provide superior application data access and enable reduced wiring and parameterization.
A moisture protection coating on all duct, immersion, surface and cable sensors protects against condensation, mechanical stress, and vibrations.
How Duct Sensors Work
Fire safety is greatly enhanced by duct smoke detectors, which are often hidden in the HVAC ductwork of commercial buildings and some residential structures. The forced airflow through an HVAC system can contribute to the rapid spread of fire and smoke throughout a building since fire feeds on oxygen. In a fire, duct detectors can shut that down, saving lives.
Duct smoke detectors detect smoke or fumes in HVAC and other air-handling equipment by sampling air currents. If either is detected, the device closes the dampers on the duct, turns off the fans and blowers to eliminate oxygen sources, and triggers an audible and visible alarm on the fire panel.
The Advantages of Belimo and BAPI Sensors
With innovative products that provide proven energy savings, Belimo and Bapi can meet or exceed your facility's specifications without the hassle of complicated installation and costly maintenance. Both manufacturers produce pressure sensors guaranteed to optimize your HVAC system, keep occupants comfortable and preserve capital budget.
