Steam Separator Model 800 from Nortec Humidity prevents water droplets and turbulent steam from entering the steam distribution system's downstream piping. This protects sensitive, downstream components, from damage caused by droplet impingement, erosion, and premature failure. Nortec Steam Separators are designed to efficiently remove water droplets from saturated steam by utilizing centrifugal force. Steam enters the separator tangentially. As the steam spirals, droplets strike the inner wall of the separator, coalesce and fall to the bottom of the vessel. The steam then exits the separator through a centrally located outlet located at the top.
