3/4" 60# Inverted Bucket (IB) Trap with ThermBuck by Armstrong International. Inverted bucket steam traps are the most widely used type of steam trap and the most versatile. The IB style steam trap is a mechanical type trap with a float, lever, and valve. Condensate entering the trap raises the float which opens the valve allowing condensate to be discharged. Once the condensate level drops, the float and lever drop with it, closing the valve. The ThermBuck heat sink allows for faster warm up times and better heat transfer. This trap is ideal for applications where a larger capacity is required but space is limited. Some common applications include unit heaters, steam mains, heat exchangers, and tracing lines.
