This thermostatic expansion valve (TXV) is used to control the flow of refrigerant into the evaporator coil in refrigeration and air conditioning systems. The valve is constructed of brass and has a stainless steel needle and seat. It is designed to operate at pressures up to 600 psi and temperatures up to 250°F. The valve has a factory-set superheat of 7°F.
