CTS CPVC stands for Copper Tube Size CPVC. It is a type of plastic pipe used for hot and cold potable water distribution systems. CTS CPVC can withstand temperatures up to 180 degrees Fahrenheit at 100 PSI.
CTS CPVC pipe sizes are based on the outside diameter of the pipe. The outside diameter of the CTS CPVC pipe is 1/8 inch larger than the nominal diameter. This is different from NPS or Nominal Pipe Size where the nominal diameter refers to the inside diameter of the pipe.
CTS CPVC is a cost-effective alternative to metal piping. It is lightweight, durable, and easy to install using CPVC solvent cement.
