Auburn 4" Flame Rod The Auburn 4" Flame Rod is a high-quality flame rod used to detect the presence of a flame in a burner. It is made with a 1/4" mounting and is 4" long. Flame rods are used in a variety of applications, such as: - Industrial burners - Commercial kitchens - Residential furnaces - Water heaters - Boilers Flame rods work by detecting the presence of ions in the flame. When a flame is present, the ions in the flame will conduct electricity, which will cause the flame rod to send a signal to the control system. The control system will then use this signal to adjust the fuel flow to the burner, ensuring that the flame is burning properly.
